Due to power cut and work load these days every PMP user wants better battery life of the PMP.There are also several PMP launched which do eat up all power from battery. - Listen to music at lowest audible volume.
- Reduce display brightness.
- Turn off backlighting if possible.
- Use extra memory if you absolutely need it.
- Use short tracks, or files with smaller file sizes.This reduces load on cache.
- Turn off album art display.
- Turn off equalizer.
- Update the firmware regularly.

If you want to increase the battery life of your PMP then you should decrease the amount of time you spend listening to music. Turning off the backlight will also be helpful. In my case I have always made it a point to keep the backlight turned off. I am of the view that backlight should be made use of only in the event of an emergency. Another thing is use of extra memory. I strongly believe that this can also be avoided.
