Restoring Data Using Mozy
As one of the leading online backup services, Mozy offers a wide range of web-based data backup solutions for both businesses and home users. While most computer users hope the backup methods –whether online or using external hard drives – they implement will strictly remain a precautionary measure, many people realize how valuable and imperative backing up can be when their hard drive is suddenly damaged or destroyed any number of ways.
For Mozy users who experience devastating data loss (or for those who may face a potential disaster), their photos, text documents, records, and other digital data files can easily be restored. Mozy provides users with four easy and effective ways to restore data:
* The Restore Tab – Located on a user’s administrative interface, the restore tab appears in the Configuration window after the very first backup has been completed.
* Virtual Drive – Mozy’s backup program appears as a virtual drive on users’ hard drives and files can be restored through the “My Computer” window or the Explorer window.
* Right Click Restores – Restore data by right clicking on the “My Computer” window or the Explorer window.
* Web Restores – Data can also be restored through the Internet by downloading backups directly from the Mozy website or ordering DVDs of your data from Mozy.
Visit the official Mozy website to learn more about their comprehensive backup solutions and the Mozy restore options, which make it easy for users to immediately recover business critical and irreplaceable digital files.

MozyHome works pretty well for me – on both Mac and PC. MozyPro needs a lot work, however – the interface is extremely convoluted and not user friendly at all.
Giving users 4 options to restore their data is a great reason why Mozy is our top-rated online backup service. Remember to test restores occasionally, too. Backups are no good if you don’t know how to do a restore, or find out you can’t!
