All a person needs to do is to click on the option and remove the Toolbar by clicking the button. If this solution does not work, the following are the other ways to uninstall the Alexa Toolbar:
- In order to remove the Alexa Toolbar from Internet Explorer all a person is required to do is open the Internet Explorer browser and then select the Tools option from the menu present at the top of the browser. After this is done, select the Manage Add-ons that is seen after the Tools option is clicked. On clicking this, select the Toolbars and Extensions. The Alexa Toolbar will come into picture as soon as the Toolbars and Extensions is selected. There is an option that allows the user to disable the Alexa Toolbar from the browser.
- To uninstall the Alexa Toolbar from the FireFox browser, a person is required to first open the FireFox browser and go to the Tools option. On clicking the Tools option, a drop-down menu will appear. In the drop-down menu, there will be an option known as the Add-on. Click on the Add-on option and select the Alexa Toolbar present in the options. And then it’s simple as all you have to do is uninstall the Alexa Toolbar from your FireFox browser. After this is done, FireFox will ask you to start your computer again and when it starts, Alexa Toolbar will be gone from the browser.
- To remove the Alexa Toolbar from Google Chrome, you just need to click on the Customize button present on the browser and select the Tools option at the right hand side of the browser. On selecting the Tools option, a drop down menu will pop up and then click on Extension. After clicking on Extension, there will be an Uninstall option. On clicking the Uninstall option, the Alexa Toolbar will be deleted from Google Chrome.

This is very informative. You are right that not all of us knows how to do this kind of things and this blog that you created help not only me but also other people. I always like my browser simple with just one address bar and also the menu bar, that’s it. I don’t want any other stuff like that toolbar or norton toolbar or any other toolbar. for me the simpler it is the better.
Thanks for this. I use a Mac and couldn’t get the alexa search out of the toolbar even though the alexa toolbar itself was disabled. I had to go into tools and then, as i couldn’t find it in add-ons (which just gave me a list of things i could install) i went into extensions and was able to remove it there (it was already disabled but the A search still kept coming up. I really want the google webmasters tool bar but it is not compatible with the version of firefox I’m running (yet). Does anyone know how to revert to the previous version?
