Google Rectifies Mistake India Gets POK Back
The Internet giant, Google has changed the controversial Indian map which showed Pakistan occupied Kashmir also known as POK as a part of the Pakistan.
On 21 August the Indian Government issued a notice to Google for the mistake and asked them to take immediate action on the issue. The notice said that wrongful depiction of Indian map could attract action under Sections 69A and 79 of the IT Act. Google Insights for Search, a tool which shows search volume patterns across specific regions, had shown a map of India as part of Pakistan.

Later on Sunday 22 August Google Rectified its mistake and corrected the map and now it shows entire state of Jammu and Kashmir as part of India.Earlier in Oct 2009 Google map site for Chinese users showed northeastern Indian state, Arunachal Pradesh, as a part of China. I just have one question, why do Google keep making Indian states a part of other countries ?
