Google Buys Angstro to Compete Against Facebook

The internet giant, Google Inc recently acquired Angstro. Angstro is a startup that sorts news and information across social networking hubs. Google might have took this step to compete against Facebook. Angstro built a service that scoured the web and the blogosphere or you can say whole blog networks for news about users friends from sites like Facebook and LinkedIn and delivered it to the user.

Angstro co-founder Rohit Khare told that he had shut down Angstro and joined Google in a note on his company’s website. Rohit has created a number of products that will be very useful to Google. Product which will really help Google is the one that exports information from Facebook and other social networks. Currently Google did not disclose any terms of the agreement.
