Bookmarklet to Shorten URLs with Goo.gl

Few days back google launched it’s URL shortener goo.gl and Matt Flaschen developed a bookmarklet to shorten URLs using goo.gl, use this bookmarklet simply drag and drop the link below or add to favourites and open the URL you want to shorten then click on the bookmarked link and you will get the shortened URL in a alert box.

If you are using Mizilla Firefox then use this extension to do the same this extension will copy the shortened URL to the clipboard.This bookmarklet also works with Opera and Safari web browsers for which google toolbar is not available.See the screenshot below for a example.
